It's been a while since I have updated the blog. Where does the time go? Parker is doing very well and he sees the pulmonologist on a 2 month appointment schedule right now. The cold weather is hard on him so we tend to stay indoors during those days. He continues to love school and being at Hefner Middle School. A very good thing!
At last writing Parker had attended 2 of the OU home games. He was able to go to 2 more home games (a big thanks to Rosie & Big Jerry's 'seat neighbors' who had friends that gave us their tickets to the Nebraska game). This game was especially fun because we got to sit with the whole "Dawkins" gang at the game (see attached pic - missing Rosie & Big Jerry) the weather was perfect, we won the game, then watched TX Tech beat the Longhorns from our suite. Then we ate at Ihop with the Okies from Houston (Aunt Sharon & Uncle Jeff). Aunt Penney came for a visit before Thanksgiving and Parker gave her an early Christmas gift - 2 tickets to the OU-TX Tech game for the two of them. We spent the day around campus visiting our favorite OU freshman (niece, cousin Sarah) and then enjoyed watching the Sooners blow the Red Raiders out of the stadium!
Our Thanksgiving was a trip to San Antonio along with Aunt Penney. Other than the 12 1/2 hour trip to get there it was a wonderful time. Our Christmas card pictures were taken at the Alamo and riverwalk.
It was a lot of fun spending time on the riverwalk, Alamo and market area. The annual Christmas lighting on the river Friday evening was gorgeous. The boats were all lighted, decorated and a variety of bands and groups on board entertaining. Weather was perfect, shorts & flip flops and swimming on the rooftop of the hotel!
We hope all of you had a very blessed and wonderful holiday. May the New Year bring you many blessings! Love, Kay & family
