Parker looks like Parker but with the addition of tubes! Last night was a busy night in the PICU they had a full house which means there are a lot of very sick children. Breaks your heart to see them suffering. Since they were so busy, Parker's nurse let me know that he was one of the more stable kids in PICU which meant they wouldn't be in his room that often. Stable a word I love!
Doctor K (I apologize but I can't spell his name but it is pronounced "key chi") showed me Parker's chest X-ray and you can see some clearing in his lungs. It looks better around the collapsed lung so they are feeling encouraged about that. Might not need to do a CAT scan. They have started to wean him off the ventilator but it will be a slow process.
Dr. Griggs will be back on duty in the morning, For those of you who are Greys Anatomy fans, Dr. Griggs looks like Richard Webber the Chief of the hospital on the show! He gets told that a lot!
After 10 or so days in PICU, I think we might be seeing a possibility of getting moved out of there. Our buddy is coming back to us! Praise God!
